What is a goal?

Goal in Google Analytics is a specific address, to be displayed by the user.

We can configure any page of the site as a target to be achieved by a visitor. With some additional code can even be file downloads, or activities on the site.

What is a funnel?

Funnel is the path that visitors should go before he reaches the goal.

For example, your company sells dvd players. You want to know how many people visit the site to buy the player. So you create the funnel. First visitor must go to  home page, then choose a product, then order and finally get the goal of which is buying the player.
